The sports meet commenced with a colourful March Past by the 4 Houses, Achievers, Believers, Creators, and Explorers, was followed by the lighting of the torch and oath taking ceremony.

The Open Minds School playground
was the venue of the Annual Sports Day on the morning of December 17, 2013. The day had dawned bright and clear with just the hint of a chill to make it pleasant for both spectators and participants alike. The Director of Open Minds Shool, Kollur, Mrs. Sharmila Reddy graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and her presence, coupled with the enthusiastic crowd support, encouraged the athletes to lift their performance by several notches, accompanied by the Principal, Mrs. Aparna Shankar.
